Spraylat International Ltd is celebrating after winning at The Federation of Small Business (FSB) Business and Product Innovation awards. The event was held at Leicester City Football Club on March 5th and was attended by other businesses from The East Midlands.
3,000 entries were submitted of which, 55 finalists in 12 categories were shortlisted. Spraylat International Ltd was named the winner having based their entry on a custom product developed for a partner in Australia.
In 2015 Spraylat International Ltd was approached to develop a unique peelable coating that makes solar panels safe in the event of an emergency such as a fire or hailstorm. The coating will effectively shut-down the DC power produced by the solar panel making it safe for emergency teams to enter the building. The safety product that saves lives is now protected by international patents.
Spraylat International Ltd is dedicated to manufacturing and supplying temporary protective coatings which they now supply on a world-wide basis. "Product innovation and the development of new and innovative temporary protective systems forms a key part our business strategy therefore, I am delighted that the team have landed a second award in two years for product innovation" said Managing Director Andrew Keir.
Spraylat International Ltd now looks forward to attending the UK finals in London this Spring.
