SOYO is the £300 million pound project creating a new neighbourhood in the heart of Leeds’ cultural quarter. The development surrounds some of the city’s largest establishments including Leeds Playhouse, Leeds College of Music, BBC Studios and Northern Ballet.
The mixed-use SOYO development will be delivered over the next five years. The first phase consists of two C-shaped, 16-storey tower blocks containing 515 apartments on New York square. Due to complete in 2022, SOYO's construction is transforming well, as you can see from this video.
5000m² of internal glass is currently being protected by Protectapeel® during the construction. The glass will be protected from;
- Scratching
- Mortar
- Overspray
- Dust & debris
When required, Protectapeel® will simply be hand peeled away. As an environmentally friendly product, Protectapeel® can be returned to Spraylat for recycling.
Once complete, SOYO will offer over 1 million square feet of places to live, work and visit, including some of the largest green spaces in the city.
