Entering a Phase of Recovery Post COVID-19

As the Coronavirus lockdown disrupted activity across the economy, construction activity declined during the three months to May plummeting by 30%. (Glenigan)


As the UK is slowly re-opening construction output grew by a record 23.5% in June a substantial increase on the 7.6% growth reported in May. (ONS)


While there is still a long way to go until the market gets back to normal, there are strong signs that the UK is entering a phase of recovery. Planning pipelines and project applications are on an upward trend since May. (Glenigan)


Spraylat has seen an increase in enquiries for its temporary surface protection from the UK construction sector during this time. Demand for free demonstrations and application training, delivered by the field-based team, continues to increase on a weekly basis.
