Project Overview
At 2 Trafalgar Way, one of London’s largest student accommodation developments, over 20,000m² of internal and external glazing required protection across multiple high-rise blocks. With such extensive glass installations, maintaining a pristine finish throughout construction was critical to successful project delivery.
The Challenge
Construction activity posed a significant risk to the glass surfaces, with exposure to paint, dust, debris, and potential scratches. Traditional protection methods can be time-consuming to install, unreliable over long durations, and costly when damage occurs—often leading to expensive replacements or intensive cleaning before handover.
The Solution - Temporary Glass Protection
Protectapeel spray on temporary glass protection was applied directly to all glazing, forming a durable, peelable barrier that safeguarded surfaces throughout the build process. Its ease of application made it ideal for large-scale coverage across multiple elevations.
The Result
20,000m² of glass fully protected across the development
Prevention of costly damage from site activity
Reduced cleaning and replacement costs
Time savings during both application and final preparation
Once construction was complete, the coating was simply peeled away, revealing perfectly clean, scratch-free glass, ready for immediate handover.
