Protectapeel peelable coatings are used to protect many surfaces during the new build and maintenance of cruise liners and megayachts External protection is given to the paintwork , teak and expensive window areas to protect against scratching, overspray and bird droppings during the long build programme. Internally, with so many operatives working within confined spaces abrasive damage is bound to occur, and again Protectapeel will protect floor coatings, paintwork, marble , sanitary fittings and plastics . The peelable coatings will form a skin tight barrier to protect any non porous surface for the duration of the build programme and will easily strip away when required. Formulations are non hazardous and available as a non flammable dry film meeting the standards of BS 476 part 7 surface spread of flame tests which is a critical requirement these days within shipyard working conditions. These strippable coatings are specified for use by Bae Marine systems for MOD Naval warships which would otherwise suffer rust staining to the non skid painted deck surfaces resulting in extensive chemical cleaning prior to handover or at worst shot blasting and repainting. Protectapeel coatings are suitable for use over most commercially used marine paints including Leighs, Awlgrip, Awlcraft and Rocol . Watch video to see Protectapeel in action
