Spraylat strippable coatings have been supplied to the military and aviation industries since the second world war. The unique preservation system was widely used for shipping military equipment out to Vietnam which was deck loaded and protected against the corrosive salt elements with the peelable coating during transport and then immediately stripped back with equipment ready for use. Presently aircraft and equipment is “cocooned and mothballed” for very many years enabling external storage in vast areas such as Davis Monthan airforce base USA. The peelable coating system meets US mil spec 6799 and Defstan 80-220 and the system has many current applications for decommissioned equipment that may be required for future use and internal storage space is at a premium such as moulding tools and commercial and private aircraft. The skin tight peelable coatings are non flammable and protect against acid rain, UV light degradation , abrasion, bird dirt and corrosion
