Chemical etching and milling masks

Spraylat specialist peelable coatings are used as a stop off mask for the process of chemically etching or milling of metal moulds or aircraft components.

These coatings are the strongest in our range and will resist the highly aggressive acids used to cut into metal. When peeled to expose the areas to be cut the coatings give a precise delineation and will not lift or allow creep under the film whilst the acid etch is in process.

Traditionally these coatings are solvent dispersed rubber , but more recently water borne alternatives are now available to meet customers environmental targets and aspirations.
