Protectapeel Sil 330 & Sil 340

Protectapeel Sil 330 & Sil 340 is a two part peelable coating system that has been specially designed for heavy duty floor protection. BAE Marine Systems use these products to protect the non-skid painted decks of battleships.

BAE Marine systems switched to Protectapeel when they discovered that the rubber matting they were using to protect the painted decks were failing. The dirt and metal fillings created during the construction and refit process were getting trapped under the rubber mats.  In turn the dirt and metal fillings were being ground into the painted deck, causing the damage that they were supposed to prevent and creating a costly clean-up process.

During the construction or refit process Protectapeel Sil 330 & Sil 340 are applied by either a lamb’s wool roller or airless spray gun to the painted deck. When dry it forms a skin tight coating that protects the deck from rust damage and staining caused by the ingress of dirt and metal filings. When the construction or refit process is complete, the protective coating is simply peeled away revealing the clean,   undamaged non-skid painted deck beneath.
